Location
Lindfields
is situated to the west on the 192 (the Irlo Bronson Highway)
and is just 4 miles from Disney's Maingate,
the main entrance to Disneyworld.
Along the 192 which goes all the way east to Orange Blossom Trail
(SR441) in the centre of Kissimmee, you'll also find every type
of shop and eating house you'd want.
Closer to
home there are pizza stores, bars and restaurants, all of whom
can deliver if needed. The more adventurous may even wish to walk
to them, as they are only a 10 minute stroll, but it must be stressed
that due to the quiet location there is a lack of sidewalk along
the main road, and crossing when traffic is heavy would be difficult
for the elderly or young children.
Public transport
is available, and a local Lynx service runs along 192 stopping
at the top of Lindfields Boulevard. I would always recommend that
anyone visiting the Orlando/Kissimme area has their own transport
but it is possible to get around on the bus. Bear in mind, however,
that it could involve a number of separate bus routes, and each
service runs once every 30 minutes or so.
The Interstate 4 is only minutes away giving easy access to Sea
World, Universal
Studios and Islands
of Adventure, and International Drive,
approximately 15 minutes drive, plus access to all the other attractions
within the Florida area Gulf beaches and the Space Coast.
